Chase Community GivingJPMChase Community Giving

Chase isn't just a bank.
Chase is committed to giving back to the community. Through the Military Warriors program, we have helped families of wounded veterans because we recognize the commitment veterans and their families make to the U.S.

On November 11, Americans observed Veterans Day, a day dedicated to commemorating those who have served their country. Around the globe, some of us observe the same day as Remembrance Day in Canada and the United Kingdom, Armistice Day in France, Volkstrauertag in Germany, and Remembrance Sunday in Hong Kong.

Our commitment to service men and women runs even deeper than just financial products and services, to include credit education programs, online financial management tools, educational scholarships for service members and their families, and ongoing sponsorship of Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) programs and activities. MWR programs are intended to improve the quality of life for soldiers, veterans and their families, providing them with wholesome and constructive recreation and social activities.

This year, JPMorgan Chase is continuing its commitment to honoring military personnel and their families through an expansion of efforts to support veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces. Jamie Dimon launched the new veterans’ strategy in New York, and announced a new website, www.ChaseMilitary.com, designed specifically for members and families of the U.S. Armed Forces. We’re also increasing efforts to recruit more veterans at JPMorgan Chase in the U.S. and are exploring options for veterans programs in other countries as well.

Since February, Chase has been working with the Military Warriors program to donate 100% mortgage-free homes to the families of wounded veterans. We have donated five homes to date, in Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, and Texas through Military Warriors, and are planning to donate more across the country in the coming months. In addition, JPMorgan Chase donated $250,000 to Wounded Warrior Project at the Jets’ annual Military Appreciation Day on November 19.

In July, J.P. Morgan began partnering with the Wall Street Warfighters Foundation (WSWF), a not-for-profit that prepares veterans for careers in finance, to help soldiers make the transition to civilian jobs. J.P. Morgan employees have volunteered as mentors to guide veterans through the job search and introduce them to contacts both internally and externally, and worked with WSWF participants through one-on-one information sessions, career panels and networking events.

In September, Chase Home Lending and the U.S. Army signed a Memorandum of Agreement to address the home financing and homeownership needs of U.S. service members. Chase will be helping the Army educate service members as well as working with the government-sponsored enterprises to offer unique benefits to the military.

At JPMorgan Chase, we believe it is important to give back to the communities in which we work. Particularly given today’s economic environment and with two active areas of conflict, it is more important than ever that we do the right thing for our veterans. We want them to be able to earn a decent living when they come home and we want to make sure that their families are well cared for when they are deployed. We hope that through the programs we support, and the products we offer, we can help ensure that veterans and their families have the services and social infrastructure they need at home to lead full lives.
